Our "Zero-Footprint" Philosophy
Traditional clinical software operates on a "Trust Us With Your Data" model. AptlyScale operates on a "We Don't Want Your Data" model. Our application is a static tool that runs entirely on your local machine.
1. Data Collection
Personal Data (PHI): AptlyScale does not collect, transmit, or store any Protected Health Information (PHI). Any patient names, goal descriptions, or scores you type into the editor stay within your browser's local memory (RAM) and temporary storage.
Usage Data: We do not use Google Analytics, Hotjar, or any other tracking scripts. We have no record of who uses the site or how they use it.
2. The "Recovery QR" Technology
When you export a PDF, your data is compressed into a QR code. This is a local transformation. The "Session Key" is generated on your device. We never see the contents of your QR codes, nor do we store the data required to generate them.
3. HIPAA & Compliance
Since AptlyScale does not store or transmit PHI to any remote server, we do not function as a "Business Associate" under HIPAA in the traditional sense. However, the Physical Safeguards of the printed PDF reports (which contain PHI in the QR code and text) are the sole responsibility of the user.
4. Data Retention
Data persists in your browser's localStorage until you:
- Clear your browser's cache/site data.
- Close an Incognito/Private window.
Note to Organizations
If your IT department requires a formal technical summary of AptlyScale's data flow for audit purposes, please refer to our How it Works page or contact the developer directly.
